What’s the difference between 3D and 4D ultrasounds?

Ultrasound technology uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of your baby from inside the womb. An ultrasound captures images in real-time and provides your doctor with a closer look at your baby’s development and functionality of the organs. Ultrasounds are also useful in detecting potential medical issues in the fetus and identifying the gender of your baby.

In 3D ultrasounds, you can expect to see some facial features of your baby, as well as their fingers and toes, giving you a life-like view of your baby.

With 4D ultrasounds, the captured images are in motion, allowing you to see your baby in live action form in real-time.
